TillyTally™
Accessibility

Ways to make keeping score easier, and where there is still work to do.

Checked 22 October 2026, app version 1.0, on iPhone and iPad simulators: contrast measured on every screen in light and dark, and Apple’s VoiceOver and Voice Control audits run on the same screens. These checks do not replace testing with people who use assistive technology.

At your own pace

Nothing is timed. Numbers go in with the + and − buttons or a keypad, and nothing needs a drag or a timed gesture. A game is saved after every change, so you can put the phone down and come back to it, and Undo takes back the last thing entered.

VoiceOver

Every button has a spoken name. Each player’s line is read as one item, such as “Ada, 33, 67 to go,” and the number being entered says whose it is, such as “Ada’s round, 10.” Darts marks are read by number and count, and each scorecard is read by its name rather than its picture. Final Scores reads each place, name, and number of wins.

Voice Control

Every button has a name you can say, such as “Tap Add round,” “Tap Final Scores,” or “Tap Start.”

Increase Contrast

Turn on Increase Contrast in Settings → Accessibility → Display & Text Size and TillyTally’s smaller gray writing and its orange come up to full strength. Every word then measures at least 4.5 to 1 against what is behind it, in light and dark appearance.

Light and dark

TillyTally follows your device’s appearance, and its color can be changed in Settings → Appearance.

Less motion

Turn on Reduce Motion in Settings → Accessibility → Motion. The opening, the winner’s card, and choosing who starts then appear without movement.

Text size

Most of TillyTally’s writing uses the system’s text styles and grows with your device’s text size. The large numbers being entered, the number pad, and the big figures on the Play screen are a fixed size, already large. The largest accessibility text sizes have not yet been checked on every screen. You can also try your device’s Zoom feature in Settings → Accessibility → Zoom.

More than color

A player’s color always comes with their initial or picture and their name, and every total and win is written out in numbers and words. Nothing is shown by color alone.

Sound and other controls

TillyTally does not use sound. Switch Control, hardware-keyboard navigation, and braille-display use have not yet been fully evaluated.
